Objects travel differently than bodies.

Some works meet long before their artists do.

TRANSIT is a contemporary art exhibition bringing together artists working across different generations, geographies, and practices—not to compare origins, but to observe what becomes visible when works are allowed to coexist. A hand-painted T-shirt travels across the world. Postal works circulate through time. Sculptures assembled from fragments of Rio de Janeiro find themselves beside objects gathered in New York City sidewalks. Painters who arrived through music discover unexpected neighbors.

These affinities are not presented as conclusions. They are propositions. Whether these relations are found or made remains unresolved.
